Writing meta descriptions is nobody’s favorite job, so on many sites a lot of them are missing, and the rest are years old. Every empty meta field is a search result Google writes for you. Usually badly.

Pick a Quick Action, like Bulk Meta Descriptions, choose the posts with the filter, and the AI writes the fields that are empty. Alt text for the images in your media library works the same way: the AI writes it from the file name and the text of the page the image belongs to, not from the image itself. On Basic you write meta page by page, and alt text for your whole media library in one run from Images. Bulk meta runs in AI Writer come with Pro.
Before it starts, AI Writer tells you how many it will write. Posts whose excerpt already works as their description are left out, and it says how many. Bulk Focus Keywords only writes a keyword that is on the page and that no other post uses yet. Failed items wait for one click on Retry Failed.
The post had good text but no SEO fields: score 46. AI Generate Keyword, Title and Description filled in all three, the keyword now shows up everywhere it should, and the score went to 84. Nothing is saved until you save the post: read it first, change what you like.
The text itself counts too. This one already had short sentences, clear headings and the topic in its first line.

AI titles stay within 60, descriptions within your Longest description setting: 155 unless you change it. A text that runs over is shortened, never cut inside a word.

Not by default: a bulk run fills only empty fields, and looks again right before it writes, so a field someone filled in meanwhile stays. Regenerate existing and Optimize Low Scores do rewrite what is there, and a bulk run saves straight to your posts, without undo. Make a backup first if you want a way back, and check the results post by post. Coming from Yoast or Rank Math? Import first: a run leaves the titles and descriptions you can still bring over.
Yes. Basic gives you the AI buttons in the SEO box (focus keyword, title, description), alt text for your whole media library from Images, and two switches: fill in meta when you publish, and alt text when you upload. The bulk runs in AI Writer come with Pro and Agency.
Yes, from Basic. Switch on Auto-generate Meta, and every post, page or product you publish in the editor gets a meta title and description where they’re empty. Updates, Bulk Edit and imports are left alone, and a post with its own excerpt keeps that as its description. Auto-generate Meta is off until you turn it on. For new images, choose Written by AI at Alt text for new images under Settings, General, and your AI writes their alt text after you upload them.
Rate limits per minute and per day, response caching (1 hour) and throttled bulk runs. Your site has one daily AI limit, counted in requests, under AI Settings: when it is used up, AI stops until midnight in the time zone of your site and says so, and Requests Today shows how many went out. For a limit in money, set one at your AI provider. Users who are not administrators get 50 AI requests a day each; you can change that number.
