Supported providers

SEO & Chill ships with ten providers: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral AI, Groq, xAI Grok, OpenRouter, Moonshot Kimi, and local models via Ollama or LM Studio (any OpenAI-compatible endpoint). You bring your own API key and can switch providers anytime from a dropdown. No migration.

Connecting a provider

1. Create an API key in your provider’s console (for example platform.openai.com or console.anthropic.com).
2. In WordPress, open SEO & Chill → AI Settings.
3. Select your provider, paste the key, and click Test Connection.
4. Choose a Model from the dropdown, or type any custom model ID. Your choice is saved per provider.
5. Click Save AI Settings.

Your key is encrypted with AES-256-CBC before storage and never leaves your server.

Local models

For fully private setups, select the custom OpenAI-compatible option and point the API URL at your Ollama or LM Studio instance. Content never leaves your own hardware.

Cost controls

Three mechanisms keep API costs predictable: per-provider rate limits (per minute and per day), a response cache that stores successful answers so repeated calls never hit the API within the cache window, and a background queue that spreads bulk work into small batches. You can also set a daily budget guard in AI Settings.
